Governor’s Cup Billfish Tourney
The Bohicket Billfish Invitational is the annual kick-off event for the SC Governor’s Cup Billfish Series. Held at Bohicket Marina & Market May 11-14, 2011, participants battled it out offshore for big game fish like white and blue marlin, and meat fish like tuna and dolphin. The tournament attracted thousands of people to the marina where they watched the sportfishing boats come in at the end of each day fishing, watched the weigh-ins, and enjoyed music, food, drinks, and an incredible atmosphere! Grand Prize was $10,000!

2nd Place: Daymaker – 900 points
3rd Place: Emily Bliss – 600 points
Blue Water Conservation Winner: Rock n Reel
Dolphin: Blue Sky - 30.6 lbs
Tuna: Emily Bliss - 11.6 lbs
Wahoo: Big Sky - 73.8 lbs
1st Place Lady Angler: Amy Bennett fishing on Rodeo - White Marlin
2nd Place Lady Angler: Helen Yochum fishing on Trinity V - Dolphin (10 lbs)
3rd Place Lady Angler: Molly Bundy fishing on Miss Grace - Dolphin (8.6 lbs)
