The Point’s 2nd Annual Inshore Fishing Tournament

Saturday, June 20th, 2015

Hosted by Bohicket Marina & Market

Bohicket Marina & Market is excited to host The Point’s Second Annual Inshore Fishing Tournament. The Point is a women’s non-profit organization dedicated to supporting local groups in the low country that focus on the needs of less fortunate women and children, those suffering the agonies of ill health, and those who are striving to repair the structure of their family.  Come out and enjoy a beautiful day on the water while supporting a great cause.  Registration is $35 per person, $25 for children under 16 (includes a Tournament T-Shirt).  The Captain’s Meeting will be on Thursday, June 18th at 5:30pm at Bohicket Marina, and the Tournament Weigh In on Saturday, June 20, 2015 until 4pm.  Inshore Species for the tournament include: Flounder, Sheephead, Spotted Trout, and Bass (pinched tail measurement).  Prizes awarded to: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place, Outstanding Lady Angler, and Outstanding Youth Angler. Bohicket Marina- Charleston Running Club-5K/10K Run at Seabrook Island

Bohicket Backpack Buddies Bash-Chili Cook Off!
March 21st, 2015 1pm-4pm-

Bring your family out to our Bohicket Backpack Buddies Bash Chili Cook Off! All proceeds will go to the Backpack Buddies program which feeds local children from Johns Island and Wadmalaw. Tickets are $5, and there will be 40 different teams competing. Each team will have donation jars, and the team who collects the most donations wins! Come Kick It with us every Tuesday Night from Memorial Day, through Labor Day! Family Fun Night!

Kid’s Fishing Tournament!
Every Wednesday Morning From Memorial Day through Labor Day

In exciting news, we will have our Kid’s Fishing Tournament every Wednesday Morning from Memorial Day through Labor Day!! Times for this event are 9:00am-10:00am, and then another session from 10:00-11:00am. Come Join the Family Fun!!!

Bring your family out every Wednesday morning throughout the summer to catch our Kid’s Fishing Tournament! Children of all ages will try to catch the biggest/ ugliest fish! Special thanks to the Bohicket Merchants’ Association for their hard work in running this wonderful event!

Bohicket Marina Sip and Stroll
Every Wednesday in September from 4-6pm

Join us for our new September Sip & Stroll series taking place every Wednesday in September from 4:00-6:00 pm and help us enjoy these last few weeks of summer. Stop in participating restaurants and stores to “sip” whatever cool and refreshing beverage awaits you and then “stroll” along the beautiful Bohicket Marina and Marketplace. Many businesses will also have special promotions and/or door prizes to share with you. Just visit the marina, stroll around, and look for the Sip & Stroll flyer posted on the door for participating businesses which include:

Red’s Ice House, The Beached Dog, Dunes Properties, Synergy Day Spa & Salon, Bohicket Creek Bait and Tackle, Doin’ The Charleston Gourmet Gifts, The Ice Cream Boat, Luciano’s Pizza, Fischer’s Sports Pub & Grill, and Village Spirits & Wine.

Fall Blood Drive

Please come out and support the American Red Cross by donating blood! Bohicket Marina will be hosting a blood drive. We will set appointments every 15 minutes throughout the day, and you can contact our office at 843-768-1280 or email marina@bohicket.com to set an appointment. Every donation counts, and we look forward to your participation!

Fall Festival!
November 2015-

Join us during Thanksgiving break for a family fall festival. Fun for all including music, a jump castle, face painting, and balloon twisting. Kid’s Fishing Tournament times will be announced. We’ll continue collecting canned food items for our charity donation drive. Last year’s weather was beautiful, and the turnout was excellent!

This event is free to the public and brought to you by the Bohicket Merchants Association.

Sunset and Santa!
December 2015-

Bring the kids to take a picture with Santa along the boardwalk at the beautiful Bohicket Marina. Stick around to enjoy other fun activities.

Figure 2 – Proposed Improvements

More than $1 Million Awarded to Bohicket Marina for Upgrades

Bohicket Marina on Seabrook Island has received nearly $1.3 million in grants for an expansion project, according to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.

The award includes $833,000 in federal funds and $460,000 in matching funds. The source of the nonfederal match was not available Thursday.

Improvements funded through the grants include the addition of 768 linear feet of new side-tie transient docks, 538 linear feet of space for day dockage and an additional 258 linear feet for accommodating larger vessels. In-slip fueling, upgraded utilities and other boater amenities are included in the project.
